Brett Boone, the AL Gold Glove specialist, has 7 errors in 54 MLB games.

The assumption seems to be, for whatever reason, that Rickie isn’t good enough to play for the Brewers right now. But in 2 months, after 50+ more AAA games, he’ll suddenly have learned how to field the baseball? I don’t think so.

Forget all those NCAA, AFL, and A/AA/AAA games. 50+ more games in Nashville and then he’ll have it down.

I expect that Rickie, like practically every other talented infield prospect in baseball, will learn and make adjustments at the MLB level.

Derek Jeter committed 22 errors in his first full season. A-Rod had 15. It happens. That’s just the way the game works.

If Weeks were called up tonight he’d be the Brewers’ 3rd best hitter tomorrow.
