Inside The Lines With Randall The Handle, Steve Rapp, And Jorey Middlestadt
NFL Gambling Show
This one?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢s for all the gamblers out there who?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢re stuck poring over the USA Today sports section for lines and totals.
Sunday mornings at 10 a.m. EST tune into a Toronto-based radio show dedicated to breaking down games, dipping into Vegas, and educating sports bettors. It?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢s called Inside The Lines and you can find it over at The Fan 590. Drop by after 10 a.m. and click on the ?¢‚Ǩ?ìListen Live?¢‚Ǩ¬ù link.
This isn?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢t like your ESPN radio morning show with some expert dropping by for a 10 minute phone-in segment to tell you that the Pats are gonna knock off the Dolphins. This isn?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢t Hank Goldberg picking 7 games straight up in SI. Inside the Lines is a 3-hour-long show dedicated solely to breaking down point spreads. Hosts Randy Steinberg (or Randall the Handle) and Steve Rapp are both professional handicappers. That doesn?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢t mean they?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢re right any more often than a coin toss, but they break down the games, lines, and totals properly.
But the best part of the show, and something that should interest even the most experienced gamblers, are the two segments in the last hour featuring Vegas oddsmakers from major Strip sportsbooks. We get to hear from Vegas insider Dave Malinsky, who points out some middles out there and discusses trends. We also check in with Bob Scucci, sportsbook director at the Stardust hotel in LV. He tells you where the smart money (bets from professional gamblers) is going, and where he’s putting his money. For the novice gambler this is big-time stuff. We also get some insight into where the lines are moving and where the public money (casual gamblers?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢ bets) is going.
It?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢s free to listen, and if you?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢re a serious gambler it?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢s a great thing to crank up while you’re eating your bagel before those boring pre-game shows. And if you play Pro-Line there?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢s a segment dedicated to finding Pro-Line value (lines that are different in Vegas than they are on Pro-Line).
